The goal of the Tallahassee Film Festival is to build a world-class event showcasing an environment where young film industry professionals will share their voice and vision with a community that values their social, economic and cultural contributions. Our goal cannot be met without visionary sponsors!
The second year’s competition attracted 141 entries from around the globe, several produced by graduates of our own world-renowned Florida State University College of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts.Sixty-five films were screened for over 3000 attendees at 7 different venues:
- FSU Student Life Cinema & FSU Phantom Theatre
- FAMU School of Journalism and Graphic Communication Lecture Hall
- TCC Turner Auditorium for the Fine & Performing Arts
- Challenger Learning Center’s IMAX Theatre
- All Saints Cinema inside the Amtrak Station
- Kleman Plaza Outdoor Screening
The 2010 Tallahassee Film Festival has a multitude of events that offer large corporations, small business, and private individuals alike many opportunities to participate in the fun and reap rewards that fulfill their expectations and goals. Taking place throughout the four-day festival are educational lectures & forums at various locations throughout the city in addition to the many screening venues. Filmmakers and VIPs will hobnob at the Opening Night Premiere Screening and Meet ’n Greet and, throughout the festival, enjoy the VIP Green Room Hospitality Suite. Ticket holders will enjoy the Awards Ceremony and new, up-to-the-minute After Parties. All of this, on top of community events with fun for all ages—like the 48-Hour Film Contest and Family Fun Outdoor Screening— and everything highlighted by a comprehensive advertising, marketing and promotional campaign.
